Potential Analysis in Cooperation with the Municipality of Fürstenfeldbruck

As a result of the dis­cus­sion about the gui­ding prin­ci­ples and of the cli­ma­te pro­tec­tion con­cept at dis­trict level, a struc­tu­re and poten­ti­al ana­ly­sis was com­mis­sio­ned in order to spe­ci­fy the tar­get state­ments deve­lo­ped for the muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the dis­trict. The struc­tu­re and poten­ti­al ana­ly­sis is an infor­mal decision-making tool muni­ci­pa­li­ties can use for their future sett­le­ment deve­lo­p­ment planning.

A com­pact resi­den­ti­al and busi­ness deve­lo­p­ment is out­lined for a major part of the area at the air base and in the muni­ci­pa­li­ties of Emme­ring and Mais­ach which direct­ly bor­der the air base. This con­cept devia­tes from the exis­ting regio­nal plan­ning gui­de­lines which ten­ded to pre­vent the dif­fe­rent sett­le­ment are­as from gro­wing tog­e­ther. Should the con­cer­ned muni­ci­pa­li­ties want to fol­low this recom­men­da­ti­on, it may beco­me neces­sa­ry to inten­si­fy inter-municipal coor­di­na­ti­on processes.

The final struc­tu­ral and poten­ti­al ana­ly­sis is due to be pre­sen­ted in spring 2017.
